REGULAR MEETING

The Northwest Allen County Board of School Trustees met in regular session on Monday,October 14, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room. Members Present: Mary Wysong, John Hilger, Paul Sloffer, Ron Felger and Kent Somers. Also Present: Chris Himsel, Bill Mallers, Lisa Harris, staff, patrons and reporters.

Motions herewith mentioned are unanimous unless otherwise stated.

President Mary Wysong called the meeting to order. Motion to approve the minutes of the September 30, 2013 hearings and regular meeting as presented by John Hilger; seconded by Ron Felger. Motion carried.

BUSINESS REPORT

  1. CAPITAL PROJECTS PLAN ADOPTION RESOLUTIONRequested approval of the 2014-16 Capital Projects Plan as presented. Advertised 2014 appropriation of $5,962,919.00 and levy of $6,685,709.00. Motion to approve by John Hilger; seconded by Ron Felger. Motion carried.
  2. BUS REPLACEMENT PLAN ADOPTION RESOLUTIONRequested approval of the 2014-25 Bus Replacement Plan as presented. Advertised 2014 appropriation of $960,400.00 and levy of $999,037.00. Motion to approve by Kent Somers; seconded by Paul Sloffer. Motion carried.
  3. 2014 BUDGET LINE 2 RESOLUTIONRecommended the enclosed resolution authorizing the Business Manager to reduce the July 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013 appropriations for the 2014 budget (Line 2 of the 2014 budget form 4-B).
